Dr.R.Deepak 

Dr.R.Deepak is a well-known and an extremely successful Consultant Clinical and Radiation Oncologist practicing in Chennai.

Effective communication, empathy towards his cancer conquerors & caregivers, most importantly evidence-based treatment protocols remain the cornerstone of his Oncology practice.

Born in Dubai, UAE and brought up in Chennai, he completed his schooling from Don Bosco, Egmore where he was a highly meritorious student and active participant in quizzes, dramatics & represented the State team in Lawn Tennis.

A proud alumnus of the esteemed Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University Chennai, he held posts of Cultural and Student secretaries during the M.B.B.S course.

With an undying determination to improve the state of cancer care for patients in our nation, he pursued a career in Oncology by graduating in M.D. Radiation Oncology from The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore with high grades and paper presentations in conferences across India bagging multiple awards.

To improve his technical skills post MD, he underwent extensive training in High Tech Radiation therapy from the European Society of Radiotherapy (ESTRO).

Enlightening the affected person and family regarding the nature of the disease in terms that they easily understand and boosting their morale with a positive mindset are the factors that enhance the success rates amongst his cancer conquerors.

He believes that spreading awareness about the Screening/Prevention of Cancer and debunking myths among the general public is the most important step in reducing cancer rates. 

He passionately takes part in screening camps and provides awareness talks at educational institutions and corporate companies pro bono.

His present interests remain High precision Radiation therapy (VMAT, IGRT, IMRT), Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRS & SRT), Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy for all variants and sites of Cancer.

To improve his skills at effective patient management, he is currently pursuing and on the verge of completing a Healthcare MBA (HHSM) from BITS, Pilani.

His Aim and Hope is to make sure that someday in the future, Cancer is only remembered as a Zodiac sign.
